Summary
By this project, the proponent plans on expanding an existing quarry from 2.9 ha to 6,05 ha to ensure a stable source of granular material, over several years, to improve the road between Lebel-sur-Quévillon and Matagami. The extension of the existing quarry at km 58, as well as the reopening of the old sand quarry, will make it possible to carry out improvement work on the road such as regravelling the road with newer material and replacing culverts, all while restoring the quality of the aging infrastructure.
