Summary
The MRNF plans to clean up the abandoned sites at the main camp and seven satellite camps once used for the Nouchimi outfitter located between km 284 and 509 of the Trans-Taïga road. The work includes the demolition of buildings and facilities on the sites, the recovery, segregation, recycling and disposal of various residual materials and equipment, the management and disposal of residual hazardous materials as well as the restoration of land (filling, leveling and revegetation). Reusable materials and equipment will be donated to neighboring communities. Recoverable residual materials will be segregated and sent to an authorized sorting center and all other non-recoverable residual materials will be disposed of in an authorized technical landfill (LET).
